Random things I see: Subway Edition
This man spent roughly 20 minutes taking pictures of the top of my shoes and the people standing next to me.
Someone apparently needed a germ shield while holding the bar on the train.
One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of crazies here. And I love it.

It’s fairly common to see things being filmed in this city. And sure enough, as I approached my office on Monday morning, I was greeted with this:
If you look close, you can see pink and blue squares, which were signs that said “Lucy” and “Desi,” which I’m not really sure what that means. I suspected they were the bathrooms, but I never saw anyone go in or...

I don’t know if you guys heard or not, but the NY Giants won the Super Bowl!
OK, so I’m a little bit behind here. But I’ve got to admit, last Sunday was the most fun I’ve ever had at a Super Bowl Party. Good food, good friends, and a winning local team! (That last part is an unfamiliar feeling, being from Cleveland and all…)
I had so much fun, that I basically took...

The Lion King: Broadway Edition
I’m not over exaggerating when I say this: I’ve been wanting to see The Lion King on Broadway for the better part of my entire life. (It came to Broadway in 1997, so this is completely plausible.)
And it was totally worth the wait. I loved every single second of it. Amazing music. Unbelievable costumes. Outstanding performance by every single person on that stage. Despite the fact...

9/11 Memorial
Although I didn’t live in this city when 9/11 happened, I think something happens when you become a resident here. You have a better understanding how peoples lives were affected. Things hit a little bit closer to home. The process of getting into the memorial was basically like going through airport security, but once you’re in, it’s worth the chaos.
It’s a beautifully...

St. Patrick's Cathedral
All of my college roommates came to visit this past weekend and we did a few touristy things. I’ve walked past St. Patrick’s Cathedral a ton of times on 5th Ave, but I’ve never gone in before.
The lighting was pretty low so I didn’t take a lot of photos, but this place was BEAUTIFUL. I was also surprised at how big the space was.

I had the opportunity to go to a Rangers game a week or so ago and it was SO fun! It was my first NHL game in, what I’m thinking has got to be, atleast 10 years. (The Lumberjacks stopped playing in Cleveland in 2001). It was also my first trip to Madison Square Garden.
We went down low to watch them warm up.
I want to ride on a zamboni. Yes, I am 25 years old and 100% serious.

The Bergdorf Goodman Women's Windows
These pictures don’t even do the windows any justice. They’re so detailed and intricate and just fun to look at.

Random Christmas Eve Sightings:
Street Vendors in full force.
Lots of purse men too.
There were 2 random couples dressed up for the holiday season. What a fun moment.
Chestnuts roasting over an open heat lamp.
Mr. & Mrs. Clause on a vespa.

Christmas Windows!
I walked down a short strip of 5th Ave (from 50th to 59th/Central Park South) to look at the holiday windows.
Juicy (I just liked the handwritten look of the writing)
Brian and I have been trying to decide if the tinsely hair on the Diesel man is for the holidays or a year-round look.
All the white ‘purses’ were actually white candles.

PENGUINS!!!
This crocodile (or was it an alligator?) was hungry! This is him (or her?) in action.
They had a special lemur exhibit when I was there last month.

I accidentally walked into an "Occupy"...
I’ll keep my comments to myself regarding this debauchery, but here are a few shots of the chaos when I left a store and walked in to this.

I ran a 5K earlier this month!
And I did it in 33:12 minutes!
(Always representin’ the Zips!)
(It was a Jingle Bell run — there were quite a few people dressed up all Christmasy)
(This was the view before the race started in lower Manhattan.)

I'm typically not one for resolutions...
But I’m going to try REALLY hard to do a better job of posting thing here. I’m definitely out and taking a lot of pictures and seeing/experiencing really cool things. I just have gotten in the bad habit of not posting them. (I’m blaming my unreliable internet)
To end out of the year, I’ll be posting a mish-mosh of random stuff I’ve seen over the past few months. And...
