Becoming A New Yorker

The Lion King: Broadway Edition

I’m not over exaggerating when I say this: I’ve been wanting to see The Lion King on Broadway for the better part of my entire life. (It came to Broadway in 1997, so this is completely plausible.)

And it was totally worth the wait. I loved every single second of it. Amazing music. Unbelievable costumes. Outstanding performance by every single person on that stage. Despite the fact that it was approximately 238128324 degrees in the theater, I had goosebumps the entire time.

The Minskoff Theater is actually the largest one I’ve been in so far.

They’re super crazy about not taking pictures while in the actual theater, but I had to sneak this one in anyways.

I snapped this on the way out of the theater — it’s a little shaky because I was on an escalator. But it’s a massive wooden mask, similar to one used in the show.

Also worth noting, I am becoming a Broadway addict. This was my third show in 3 months.
